Hamilton Cricket is seeking applications for seasonal coaching positions to assist with primary school initiatives, secondary school support and community cricket initiatives.

The positions are causal fixed term positions. The successful applicants will report to the Development Officer of Hamilton Cricket.

Successful applicants will need to have:

  • A passion for cricket
  • A high level of integrity and credibility within the game
  • An influential personality with a high degree of self-motivation
  • A willingness to be judged on results
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A high standard of dress and personal appearance
  • Cricket coaching qualifications preferred
  • Understanding of core coaching principles
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task and complete projects under changing conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  3. Actively promote cricket in schools
  4. Club and Representative duties
  5. Development Matches and Festival Days
  6. Any other cricket duties that may be required of you by the Development Manager
Key Responsibilities Strategies
1. Hub Programme
  • Carry out awareness sessions in Primary Schools
  • Promote Hub initiative in Primary Schools
  • Manage the delivery of Hubs
  • Assist with identifying, recruiting and training of volunteers at Hubs
2. Holiday Programmes
  • Manage the delivery of Holiday Programmes
3. Actively promote cricket in schools
  • Assist with retention of players.
  • Provide coaching and resources in Schools
  • Assist with Festival days
  • Assist with Development matches
  • Umpire/manage and coach school and Development games when required
  • Deliver NZC and Go Girl programmes
4. Club and Representative Duties
  • Provide assistance to HCA staff leading up to representative fixtures and tournaments
  • Assist HCA staff on match day
  • Assist with club covers
  • Umpire matches for club and twilight
