Notice of Annual General Meeting

Monday the 3rd July 2017 at 6.00 pm
at the Hamilton Cricket Association office, Hamilton

Introduction

The principal business to be transacted at this year’s AGM will be the appointments of the Associations Executive.

Agenda

The business to be conducted shall proceed as follows:

  1. Registration
  2. Apologies.
  3. Minutes of the 2016 A.G.M.
  4. Board Report.
  5. Financial Reports.
  6. Appointment of Auditor.
  7. Election of Officers
    (a) Patron
  8. Election of the Executive members.
  9. General Business.

The Executive Members

There shall be not less than six (6) and not more than Eight (8) Executive members.

The Executive members will elect by ordinary resolution one of its number to act as the Chair.

Nominations

Nominations for Executive members can be made on the attached Nomination Form. (Click Here to download.)

Only Clubs and Schools within the Hamilton Cricket boundaries may submit nominations for the Executive Board.

Completed Nomination Forms must be returned to the Hamilton Cricket Association by 5pm on Thursday the 22nd June 2017.

Completed Nomination Forms should be returned to:

or 2. Via email to rupert@hamiltoncricket.co.nz

Nominees must sign the nomination form to confirm that they accept nomination. Nominees must also provide a brief biography, of no more than 100 words, along with the completed Nomination Form. The biographies will be circulated to the Members prior to the AGM.

Incumbent board, as appointed at the 2016 AGM have automatic nomination.

Nomination Forms received after 5pm on Thursday the 22nd June 2017 will be invalid.

Voting

The attached Nomination Form requests that you identify your voting representative for the purposes of the AGM.

As noted above, where the Nomination Form is received after 5pm on Thursday the 22nd June 2017, the nominee will be ineligible.

Voting entitlements for the AGM are as follows:

Only Schools and Clubs based within the Hamilton Cricket boundaries and with teams playing in Junior competitions within Hamilton are eligible to vote.

Each eligible School or Club shall have 1 vote for every 4 teams or part thereof playing in Hamilton Junior Cricket competitions in the 2016-2017 season (for example, a Junior Member will have 1 vote for up to 4 teams, 2 votes for up to 8 teams and 5 votes for up to 20 teams).

Only Schools and Clubs based within the Hamilton Cricket boundaries and with teams playing in Senior Saturday competitions within Hamilton are eligible to vote.

Each eligible School or Club shall have 1 vote for each team playing in Hamilton Senior Cricket Saturday competitions in the 2016-2017 season.
