About Hamilton Old Boys CC
Hamilton Old Boys is the oldest continual cricket club in Hamilton, having started in 1914 and been an ever-present force in Hamilton cricket since 1918.
Since then we’ve won the Howden Cup 23 times, and had players of the quality of Paul Whitelaw, Jackie Mills, Bruce Pairaudeau, Lucky Weerasinghe, Gary Giles, Mike Shrimpton, Graeme Hick and Andrew Mathieson.
Current BLACKCAPS BJ Watling and Mitchell Santner are Old Boys players, as is Daryl Mitchell of the Northern Knights.
With a side in every Saturday competition – including two in the Senior A and two in the Senior B grades – Old Boys has more Saturday sides than any other Hamilton club. And as well as our six senior sides, the Old Boys junior club has more than a dozen teams, catering to those in primary and intermediate school.
So given our ability to produce the next big thing, as well as our full representation in club cricket, it’s no wonder that Old Boys is the most prestigious club in Hamilton.
