FRIDAY NIGHT CRICKET – Supersmash Cricket
Friday night cricket is the natural progression from the Supersmash Cricket Hub programmes and is played on modified grounds and pitches with a soft ball. Year 3 – 4 are to use a yellow plastic ball or something similar while year’s 5-6 are to use incrediballs. Rules will be posted on the website, prior to the first game.
INTERMEDIATE YEAR 7&8 HARDBALL are played on a term by term basis across both Term 1 and Term 4 annually.
GIRLS Junior NPL is a hardball 8 aside competition played on Wednesday afternoons. Games are 16 overs per innings starting at 4:00pm.
HELMETS are mandatory for helmets to be worn by all batters and wicketkeeper (standing up to wickets) in hard ball grades
RESULTS SERVICE
ALL HARDBALL CRICKET matches are to be scored via PlayHQ. Full scorecards must be submitted. This will require all players to be registered through the PlayHQ app. If assistance is required please contact NDCA at competitions@ndca.co.nz
STANDARDS
Supervision of teams is paramount. Behaviour of players on and off the field is expected to be exemplary. Any cases of inappropriate behaviour (dissent and offensive behaviour) will not be tolerated. Any complaints will be investigated.
